A PVC Bin Storage Center can be built to store any shape and size bin. Having the storage center provides a few basic benefits.

The most important advantage is finally getting to those bottom bins without having to unstack several layers of other stuff. I’m sure countless times you look at what’s there and postpone the project or do a lot extra labor that you could be avoiding.

The other benefit is that having similar boxes will encourage you to be more organized about what goes where. Building it yourself allows you to design the storage center to your needs. If you choose to do a do-it-yourself project, you can build it 2 spaces high and 10 spaces wide or in other configurations to fit around your storage space. Once you have the basics of how to build it, you can customize it to the bins that you already have.

This project is pretty simple. You are only going to need a few different types of pieces to get started. Keep in mind that building this to your needs may require some imagination. Spend some time planning what you want to build, how high, how wide, and if you want to leave the ends open to expansion. I always leave the option to expand open. Use X pieces of PVC for the center joints, T pieces for top and edges, and regular pipe goes between. For heavier items use 1 1/2″ diameter. If you only have lighter items, you can use 1″ pipe.
